Roadwork- Pontchartrain Park Group B - DPW Correspondence

Apologies for the delay in responding. Over the past couple of weeks, DPW in coordination with our program management team has identified available funding due to the lower-than-expected bids received for the recently advertised JIRR projects. As there is a project, Pontchartrain Groups C and D, entering the construction phase in the area, we are able to complete the engineering of the Pontchartrain Park Group B project and will add the noted streets below to the DPW Project RR406.
In response to the questions below, the following answers are provided:
Roadway segments currently included in DPW Project RR406, which will start construction in the coming weeks:
Mithra St (Providence Pl to Press Dr)
Providence Pl (Mithra St to Pressburg St) including 5709 Providence Pl.
Prentiss Ave (Providence Pl to Press Dr) including intersection of Campus Blvd and Prentiss Ave.
Pauline Dr (Mexico St to Columbia St) including 6432 Pauline Drive.
Debore Dr (Frankfort St to Mexico St)
New York Circle
Mexico St (Congress Dr to Pauline Dr)
Columbia St (Congress Dr to Pauline Dr)
Frankfort St (Congress Dr to Pauline Dr)
Roadway issues to be handled separately from projects:
6154 Press Drive: roadway milled and overlaid, manhole repaired and pavement patched by DPW.
5011 Congress Drive: SWBNO to address.
4236 Mithra St: SWBNO to address in interim.
The JIRR program has additional funding due to the bid dollar amounts coming in less than expected. This is allowing DPW to add roadway segments. The following roadway segments will be added to the DPW Project RR406:
Mithra St (Press Dr to Pauline Dr)
Piety St (Mendez St to Mithra St)
Odin St (Congress Dr to Mithra St)
Please notify those residents that were in attendance at the Pontchartrain Park Residents meeting on October 4th that were asking about the Pontchartrain Park Group B project if not copied on this email. There will be official communication from the program prior to the added street segments starting construction.
